2 door 1990 BMW 325i . Completed with very well running M20 6 cylinder engine and very clean interior.
This E30 had a near perfect interior and a crack free dash. This interior will continue on in another e30.
The M20 in it's natural form. Spec E30 rules dictate that power will not exceed 159.9 at the back tire. Changes here will be mostly unseen and mainly to add reliability.
Condor Speed Shop was again called on for their top of the line suspension bushings. We are replacing every stock suspension item on the car.
The front subfame of the E30 when exposed to the extremes of motorsport can be a weak link. Here we add reinforcement for motor mounts
The Spec E30 rules dictate only 1 combo of springs and shocks can be used. Bilstein sports and H&R race springs pictured here. Also we added the ST rear sway bar with adjustable end links.
The shifter was rebuilt with all new bushings and linkage. The Transmission mounts where upgrade to a poly unit.
New control arms, Tie rods, and Condor LCR bushings round out the upgrades to the front.
After completing the mechanical rebuild we ran the E30 to test all components.
After a successful test of the chassis. Now began the stripping process. Leaving only the necessary items behind.
Now comes the safety equipment. A full NASA/SCCA compliant cage was custom built by Rehab Racing Development.
We had the car completely paint inside and in out. Now comes the reassembly process.
Minimal. Only what is needed for the driver and the car to function. A battle station if you will.
Now fully in race trim and ready to go. We ran a large season opener at Sebring. The car performed well. Now onto further adjustments and to get that first win
